Opening of LGS function with AO188

Laser guide star (LGS) system of AO188 will be opened from the latter part of S11A semester in shared-risk operations, combined with IRCS.

Opening of the second spectrograph: IRS2 of FMOS

The second spectrograph: IRS2 of FMOS will be available for open use from S11A in shared-risk operations. Low resolution (LR) mode of both spectrographs: IRS1 and IRS2 can be used.

New CCDs of FOCAS

New fully-depleted CCDs FOCAS is opened from S10B. The detailed evaluation of the performance is shown in the FOCAS page.
